Arrival
On the day of arrival, the accommodation can be occupied between 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. (unless otherwise agreed).
Departure
Check-out is no later than 10:00 a.m.
Booking Deposit
The booking deposit is generally 30%. The reservation becomes valid once the deposit has been received.
Tourist Tax
om 1 January 2026, the tourist tax is HUF 600/person/night for guests over the age of 18. It is payable upon arrival, in addition to the accommodation fee.
Booking and Cancellation Rules
To prevent unserious bookings, our accommodation can only be reserved by paying a deposit. The deposit is generally 30%, but we will provide information about the exact amount before booking. The reservation becomes valid once the deposit has been received.
You have 2–5 days to make the payment or bank transfer; after this period, if the payment has not been received, the reservation will be considered invalid.
Cancellation Policy
If a reservation is cancelled, the deposit – or part of it – will only be refunded if the cancelled period is successfully rebooked under the same conditions. These rules apply to both our own accommodation and the properties we manage.
For accommodation arranged through us, please always confirm the cancellation conditions with the accommodation provider before paying the deposit. We cannot accept responsibility for any loss or inconvenience resulting from failure to do so.
If the conditions for refunding the deposit are met, the accommodation provider will refund the deposit – after prior consultation – to the bank account from which it was paid. For our own accommodation, we will of course process the refund ourselves; for accommodation that we only mediate or manage, however, we are not in a position to refund the deposit on behalf of the accommodation provider.
Please submit your booking only after taking the above conditions into account and acknowledging them – this helps prevent misunderstandings and inconvenience.

House rules
The following house rules primarily apply to our own accommodation properties (Rétföldi Guesthouse and Apartment, Csikós Guesthouse, Zafír Guesthouse). However, the rules listed below also serve as general guidelines for the other accommodation properties featured on our website. In each case, the specific rules to be observed during the stay are determined by the owner or landlord. Please confirm the applicable rules with the accommodation provider before booking.
During your stay, please observe the following rules:
- Due to the proximity of neighbouring properties and the location of our houses, our accommodation is not suitable for loud house parties or other parties. Please take this into consideration when booking.
- In Zamárdi, quiet hours are in effect between 10:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. Please observe these hours and avoid disturbing local residents and holidaymakers during the daytime as well.
- Please take care of your valuables, as we cannot accept responsibility for them.
- Smoking, lighting fires and all other activities posing a fire hazard are prohibited inside the accommodation.
- When leaving the house, please close all doors and windows to help prevent possible storm damage.
- The landlord or their authorised representative has the right to check at any time that the house and its furnishings are being used properly.
- Entering areas closed off to guests is prohibited and may be dangerous.
- Fires may only be lit in designated fire pits. The barbecue must only be used with charcoal and for its intended purpose. Never leave fire or embers unattended.
- Connecting high-power electrical appliances to the electrical network or charging an electric vehicle is prohibited. Charging an electric vehicle despite this prohibition constitutes a serious breach of contract.
- Only guests registered in the guest book may stay in the accommodation or on the property.
- Guests are responsible for compensating for any damage they cause. In the event of intentional or significant damage, the guest must leave the accommodation; in such cases, the rental fee will not be refunded.
- If, due to damage caused by a guest, we are unable to accommodate the next guest, the responsible guest must compensate us for the lost income, any booking deposit that must be refunded, and any other resulting damage.
- For each booking period, one member of the group renting the house must accept full financial responsibility in writing for any damage caused.
Selective Waste Collection
Please collect waste selectively using the bags provided. In the case of mixed, unsorted waste, we charge an additional fee of HUF 10,000.
Cleaning and Bed Linen Change
The accommodation is handed over clean and with fresh bed linen. Cleaning takes place on changeover days (arrival and departure days). For bookings longer than 7 nights, we provide one cleaning and bed linen change per week at a pre-arranged time. Additional cleaning and bed linen changes can be ordered by prior arrangement at the current applicable rate – please request a quote for details.
